K.E.W. Boom!

Earth is under attack! Asteroids are falling from orbit and it's up to you to stop them. Remotely pilot a set of shield platforms to smash them before they go kaboom! The space aliens are relentless, once an attack starts it keeps getting stronger and stronger. They won't give up so you can't either. Beat a wave and get a shield replacement or a bonus if you're at full strength. Get consecutive bonuses for bonus multipliers. Too easy? Try 'joystick mode' for a harder challenge. The story so far: A short time ago, out of nowhere, a strange alien presence was detected. Insect like alien lifeforms were swarming in the asteroid belt. The governments of the world were able to suppress the news, intending to make announcements if the aliens were friendly. To this point there has been no communication with the space alien bugs, and all attempts at contact have resulted in attacks by the creatures. The few aliens that have approached the earth released kinetic energy weapons (K.E.W.s), basically fast moving space rocks targeted at major cities. The number of space battles have been increasing and the United Space Command has decided to reach out to the general public for new fighters. They have created a smart phone app that allows a user to remotely control a set of unmanned orbital shield platforms. The app might look like an 1980's video game, but it is a powerful tool in the secret war against the space alien threat. Other pilots have been busy fighting the alien bugs in the asteroid belt, still more are ready to blast any K.E.W.s that get past you. Thank you for taking up the responsibility of defending the Earth.
