File Handling Game in C++

Students usually find difficulty in understanding data file handling while learning programming languages. Students of classes XI and XII who have opted Computer Science are studying C++ Programming language. It is found that when students do not understand the concept of data file handling, they lose they their interest in learning programming languages. At the year-end they are supposed to submit a project based on data file handling. Sometimes unable to understand the concept they buy project from market and again lose marks at the time of viva of final practical exam. We are already living in a world dominated by software and in the future, not knowing the language of computers will be challenging for our students. It has also been said that games, in any form, increase motivation through engagement. Thus, to keep the interest of students alive I have prepared a game based on the topic “File handling in C++”. While playing this game students can easily learn this topic and develop interest in learning programming languages.
