Apparently hippos do not float in the air, and will fall thanks to gravity. Save the hippos from crashing into the ground. Touch the screen to throw tyres to soften the impact. Every hippo you save will give you one extra life, and each one that hits the ground will take one life away. Naturally, the hippo must hit the tyre from above, if not the tyre will be useless.
